The festive season is upon us and Noosa is never short on ways to pass the holidays. We thought we would offer up our favourite ways to celebrate Christmas on the Sunshine Coast.
Hit the Beaches
Whether you want to build a snowman out of sand, try stand-up paddling or just float in the ocean, Noosa offers more than enough beaches for everyone to find the perfect spot and settle in for the day. Why not pack a picnic, take a book and relax under a beach umbrella because days like these are meant to be enjoyed.
Explore on Foot, Wheels, and Water
Once the relaxing on the sand is done, head out and explore Noosa National Park or Noosa River. Wear your best walking shoes, hire a bike, or catch a ferry tour – we recommend the sunset tour as something special. Try these three cruises and enjoy the serenity… Gondolas of Noosa, Noosa Ferry, and Noosa River and Canal Cruises.

Shop ‘Til You Drop
Hastings Street offers a range of fun, summery, and eclectic stores, and when you venture out of Noosa there are even more exciting shopping spots. The Eumundi Markets are extra special over Christmas, and Noosa Farmers Markets are wonderful for fresh produce and to discover some of the local food producers in the region.
Take in the Sights
There are a number of hikes around the Sunshine Coast, and two that offer some of the most stunning views are Mount Coolum, and Mount Tinbeerwah. After all that hiking you and the crew are sure to be ready for lunch, and we have the perfect menu to please everyone.
Visit Santa
A Christmas holiday would not be complete without some Santa time. At The Ginger Factory in Yandina (Tues – Sat mornings* at 9:30am) the kids can meet Santa in the Garden Gazebo as he reads the kids one of his favourite stories. Santa is then available for photos with the kids 10am to 1.30pm in his winter wonderland, plus it’s all for free. After seeing Santa a tour of the Ginger Factory is not to be missed, and all that fun will definitely work up an appetite, so let us take care of dinner for you.
